I’ve been an agency and freelance copywriter in the Boston area for nearly fifteen years. In that time, I’ve written for just about every kind of business in just about every medium – print, digital, outdoor, broadcast, etc.

I can write snappy headlines with the best of ‘em, but also love long-form writing: websites, annual reports, brochures and the like. I'm equally comfortable doing consumer-focused or B-to-B projects.

In everything I do, my first priority is to create work that’s right for the client — that speaks in their voice, supports their brand and achieves their marketing goals in a smart and creative way. I catch on quickly, work fast and keep my ego in a cage in my basement where it can’t cause any trouble.

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts

Isabel Perez is a young breast cancer survivor with an inspiring story and a special relationship with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts. Print ads, billboards and a microsite invited viewers to hear her story and learn more about breast cancer.

The Boston Convention and Exhibition Center wanted a print campaign that simultaneously showcased the city of Boston and the advantages of the BCEC to meeting planners. And it had to be wicked memorable, too.

Boyajian

These small-space ads for Boyajian’s premium caviars, done on a shoestring, ran in Food and Wine and other high-end “foodie” pubs. I got paid in caviar instead of cash, but I’m definitely not complaining.

These ads were the flagship element of a global, integrated campaign to launch the rebranded property and casualty division of AIG. Other campaign elements included product ads, online, TV and more.

The classic slow cooker wanted to rebrand itself as the ultimate time-saver for busy moms (like yours truly) who have more important things to do than make dinner.

Genzyme completely overhauled their patient and physician websites for Seprafilm, a medical device that helps prevent internal scarring after surgery. This writing project required extensive research, sourcing and legal review.

Sovereign Bank

Sovereign needed an eye-catching campaign to promote a new checking account that offered more perks, including a $150 bonus. This campaign, which included advertising, DM, outdoor and street team marketing, was one of their most successful retail promotions.

When the Massachusetts Educational Financing Administration (MEFA) launched YourPlanForCollege.org, a free college planning resource for Masachusetts high school students, they needed a site that would appeal to teenagers, guidance counselors and colleges—all at the same time.
